Pride (not recognizing who our awesome God is and who we are) – 2 Chronicles 7:14

Selfishness or wrong motive – James 4:3

Unbelief – Matthew 17:20

Disobedience to God – 1 Peter 3:12

Hard-heartedness, refusing truth – Zechariah 7:13

Unconfessed sin – 1 John 1:7-9; Psalm 66:18

Broken relationships, discord, dishonor – 1 Peter 3:7; 1 John 4:20

Idolatry (covetousness, family, money home, career, people or esteem of others can be idols taking God’s first place in our affections) – 1 John 5:21

Worries – 1 Peter 5:7 (make a list of anything that interrupts your peace and let God examine each item with you. Either it is past and beyond your control and you can’t do anything about it and it is under God’s grace or it is future and is under His sovereign control)

Not even praying – James 4:2

Doubting or double-mindedness – James 1:5-8

Being a hypocrite – Matthew 6: 5-7

Discouragement and not persevering – Luke 18:1-8

Not treating people fairly or being generous to the needy – Isaiah 58: 6-10
